Much to the surprise of the British public and the X factor judges , finalist Katie Waissel is still standing after the judges failed to make a majority vote .The decision of sending much-loved Aiden Grimshaw or Katie home was based upon the public vote . Shockingly , Waissel who has previously been in the bottom two, three times is continuing her X factor journey as Grimshaw was sent home by the British public .
